Prior to joining the Poole College of Management as a lecturer, Rich spent 30 years in human resources roles across a variety of industries. He served as vice-president of human resources for Xchange Technology Group; chief human resources officer for Health Decisions; group vice-president of organization and people development for Constella Group, and director of learning and development for GlaxoSmithKline.
As a consultant, Rich has advised such companies as Novella Clinical, Braxx Fundraising, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, SciMetrika, Boddie-Noell, and Analytical Perspectives.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from St. Ambrose University and a master’s of adult education from North Carolina State University. He earned his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation, is certified in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator, and is a certified facilitator of numerous management and employee development programs.
Rich has served on the SciMetrika Advisory Board, the Peace College Human Resources Advisory Board, and the Center for Creative Leadership Corporate Advisory Council.
