Handfield Unveils Supply Chain Stress Test In HBR

In a new article for Harvard Business Review, Robert Handfield—Bank of America Distinguished Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management—introduces a dynamic, AI-powered approach to stress testing their supply chains.

Traditional, static stress testing is too slow for the pace of change in modern business, Handfield and co-author Walt DeGrange wrote.

“.By combining emerging AI technologies with expert-based market intelligence,” the Aug. 6 piece argues, “organizations can develop a capability—dynamic stress testingthat can help companies cope with the rapidly changing environment.”
