Regulatory scrutiny is also increasing on said markets, with several high-profile arrests for insider trading and market manipulation in recent weeks. This has led to questions about whether prediction markets are providing accurate odds or being manipulated. <a href=\"https:\/\/poole.ncsu.edu\/people\/rswarr\/\">Richard Warr<\/a>, a professor of finance and associate dean for faculty and research at Poole College, provided his expertise on the matter to <em>DeFi Rate<\/em>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cResearch has shown that peoples\u2019 predictions tend to be more accurate when they have to \u2018put their money where their mouth is,\u2019\u201d Warr told <em>DeFi Rate<\/em>.
