For-credit Internships

Students who choose a for-credit internship program are eligible to receive academic credit that they can use towards their free elective requirements. In addition to the internship placement experience, for-credit internships are usually accompanied by a required online course or seminar.

Program Details

  • Earn 3 or 6 credits:
    • Session I – 3 or 6 credits
    • Session II – 3 credits
  • Program Length:
    • Session I – 10 weeks
    • Session II – 6 weeks
  • Program Dates:
    • Session I – Sep. 28 to Dec.11
    • Session II – Nov. 2 to Dec. 11
  • Locations: Barcelona, Buenos Aires, Dublin, Florence, London, Shanghai, Sydney
  • Possible Placement Areas: Business, Finance, Human Resources, Data Analytics, Marketing, Sports Marketing
  • Part-time, approximately 20 hours/week

    • Session 2 – Sep. 28
  •  To apply for the academic-credit, complete the following steps: 
    • Submit an application through NC State in your PackAbroad Portal. This includes your Course Approval Form and admin fee.
      • You must submit your Course Approval Form to our office via email at poole_global@ncsu.edu. Once signed, we will upload it to your MyPackAbroad account. You will get a notification when it has been checked off your checklist.
        • The course title is INTP 3347 Global Internship Course: Remote. See the syllabus here.
    • Submit CAPA’s application directly through their website

  • Program Length:  6 weeks
  • Program Dates: Oct. 19 to Nov. 30
  • Locations: Argentina, Spain, Ecuador, New York City, South Africa
  • Possible Placement Areas: Business & Economics, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Finance, IT, & NGOs
  • Part-time, approximately 15-30 hours/week depending on placement
