Over the summer, Poole students travel the world on our Study Abroad Programs. Learn more about the experiences these groups have living and learning abroad in Italy, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, and China

Australia: Entrepreneurship

From visiting local entrepreneurs’ businesses to making friends with marsupials, these members of the Pack Abroad had an astounding time learning about Australian culture. THrough both simple changes and major cultural differences, the students enhanced their understanding and appreciation of foreign communities and their welcoming inhabitants.

From local corporate visits to archery lessons to seeing the Great Wall, these students had a sensational time takin in the Chinese culture. Each student in the program had their own unique experience, but every student was able to realize the apparent and hidden differences between Chinese culture and American culture.

From mountain hikes to corporate visits, from river cruises to guest lectures, this group experienced German culture firsthand and built a global awareness and understanding that will stay with them for years to come.

The Italy Ethics and Law Summer program embraces the local culture of a small Italian town while offering an opportunity for students to complete NC State courses abroad. Piacenza provides a welcoming environment for students to build their international communication skills, despite any language barriers that may be present.

Spain: Marketing and Language

From utilizing their conversational Spanish skills to Flamenco lessons to Cathedral visits, these students explored the customs of a society far different from their own, and they returned with newfound global knowledge of how these deviations are valuable to society. Over six weeks, NC State professors taught Marketing Methods, Intermediate Spanish and Doing Business in Spain.
