For any course changes please email poole_global@ncsu.edu so a member of the Global Programs team can assist you. Do not drop or add any courses without talking to your advisor first.

Generally, the last day to add or drop a class is about 5-7 days after the first day of classes. You will receive more detailed information during your Poole College of Management Orientation.

Adding classes is difficult because of course availability. Therefore, you should NOT drop any courses before you speak with Poole Global. If you want to make any changes to your course schedule please email poole_global@ncsu.edu.

The Study Abroad Office at NC State will be able to answer any housing and student life questions. For more information go to this link.

The Poole College of Management Orientation is mandatory for any incoming exchange students coming to Poole. The orientation will cover important information regarding Poole, courses you will take, and other required events.

For a list of available courses please visit our undergraduate course catalog. Courses available for a specific semester are usually announced about halfway through the previous semester. Please keep in mind Poole Considerations on the Course Information webpage when filling out your course approval form.

There are many student organizations you can get involved with during your semester or year at Poole. Here are some organizations you can get involved in Poole: American Marketing Association, Business Ethics Society, Economics Society, Finance Club, Institute of Management Accountants, Society for Human Resource Management, Society for Politics, Economics and the Law, Supply Chain Management Club and the International Business Club.

There are many ways to get involved in the community of Raleigh! There are always sporting events, festivals, and day events in Raleigh. Poole Global will send emails throughout the semester with events for that month in Poole, NC State, and the Raleigh community.

In order to make the transition into American culture, the NC State campus, and the College’s curriculum easier, we will pair you with a current Poole student who will act as a resource for you. You will receive an email before arriving at NC State with your mentors name and contact information, Feel free to ask them anything and everything about life in the United States, courses, social norms, etc. as you prepare to come to NC State.
