Poole College’s AICPA competition team advances to finals

The count of votes in this year’s AICPA video competition is completed and the NC State Poole College’s team – GoodWolf Counting – was among the top three of the 14 teams in the semi-finals. The competition this year drew more than 100 collegiate teams.

Poole College’s team members – Gina Miani, team captain; Christopher Befus, Stephanie Evans and Nalisha Patel, all accounting majors – are now preparing for the finals that will take place in December in Washington, D.C. In addition to making final presentations to a panel of judges, the three teams will be touring the nation's capitol. 

Each of the three finalist teams received $10K, to be shared among their team members. The team winning the final round earns prize money for their school and the title of competition champions. The final prize awards are $5K, $3K and $2K. The winner will be announced on December 22, 2014.
