Outstanding Economics Students Honored
Faculty and staff in the Department of Economics honored 36 outstanding juniors and seniors at informal receptions this week. Recognized for their academic achievements were graduating seniors including Economics Honors Program students and 21 students who were inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon, the international economics honor society.
“The students being recognized are outstanding,” said Dr. Bobby Puryear, teaching associate professor and director of Poole College’s undergraduate economics program. “They have performed at an exceptionally high level in their economics course work. In addition, many of these students are double majoring or minoring in a STEM discipline, and are actively engaged in research in multiple arenas.”
