Kathleen Black is New Assistant Director for NC State University Poole College Global Luxury and Management Program

Kathleen Black has joined the NC State University Poole College of Management as assistant director of the Global Luxury and Management program, working with Kristie McGowan, GLAM program director.

Black previously was admissions and career services manager for the Master of Accounting program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she helped launch AMP, an accounting mentorship program for undergraduate students from underrepresented groups and managed the MAC Mentorship Program, among other recruitment and student services activities.

She has technical and research support experience from roles with the Associate Press and other organizations in New York, and leadership experience from her service as director general for the Pace University Model United Nations Conference. She enjoyed volunteering for Business Cares at UNC and was a companion for Orange County Rape Crisis Center. She will be completing her Master of International Studies degree program in December at NC State. She resides in Raleigh, NC.

The Jenkins Global Luxury and Management program is a dual degree program offered jointly by the NC State University Poole College of Management and SKEMA Business School, in collaboration with NC State’s College of Textiles. The GLAM program provides a unique combination of international experiences, industry immersion and an academic curriculum that prepares individuals for careers in the global luxury market. It is one of the portfolio of Poole College undergraduate and graduate degree programs in accounting, business administration and economics, and custom and open enrollment programs offered through NC State Executive Education, LLC.
