Transloc – with NC State ties – Purchased by Ford Motor Co,

NC State’s Wolfline was among the first of the Triangle bus services to use Transloc’s technology. The startup, whose founder Josh Whiton is an NC State alumn, was recently purchased by Ford Motor Co.

A Business Insider article states, “Transloc is ‘a provider of demand-response technology for city-owned microtransit solutions,’ (according to a press release about the transaction). The startup’s technology will be key to Ford’s new logistics business because it will help the company better route its vehicles around cities.
