NC State Research: Tax Havens Increase Risk for Shareholders

WRAL TechWire picked up a recent NC State research news story summarizing findings of a study by Christina Lewellen, an assistant professor of accounting at the NC State Poole College of Management and a research colleague at the University of Arkansas. They found that many publicly held companies that are incorporated in tax haven countries are more likely to engage in practices that benefit executives at the cost of their shareholders.
