The Jenkins MBA program in NC State’s Poole College of Management was ranked No. 31 on the employability of its graduates and No. 60 overall among the 111 U.S. programs in the latest QS World University Rankings: 2019 Global MBA Rankings.

Globally, the Jenkins MBA program was ranked No. 68 on employability among the 251 schools in the ranking, with an overall global rank of 111-120.

QS published the results of its 2019 survey of global MBA programs — which included programs in 37 countries — on September 25, 2018, at the websites and TopUniversities-Global

Beverly Porter, director of Jenkins Graduate Programs in the Poole College Career Center, wasn’t surprised when she learned of the strong employability ranking for the Jenkins MBA program.

“Our focus on experiential learning – through industry engagement opportunities in and out of the classroom – sets our students apart,” she said. “In many cases, employers have our students work on additional projects after they complete their internships. They like their focused think and do attitude.”

Employability is one of five factors considered in the QS ranking and accounts for 40 percent of the ranking. Also considered are entrepreneurship and alumni outcomes, 15 percent; return on investment, 20 percent; faculty thought leadership, 15 percent, and diversity of students and faculty, 10 percent.
