Why did you choose Poole for your education?
The quality of the faculty, the practical/real world approach of the curriculum and the CPA exam success rate.
How did your experience in your specific Poole Program at NC State contribute to your professional achievements and successes?
The program prepared me for immediate success upon graduation. Many other programs take a purely academic view but the Poole Program had a great balance of the academic view but also the practical application in the real world. As a result, I felt like I was more prepared than my peers from other programs on day 1 in the working world.
What advice would you give for prospective and current students who are interested in your industry/profession?
In addition to focusing on academics, make sure that you also focus on building your analytical and interpersonal skills. All of your peers will have strong technical skills, the thing that can really set you apart is if you have the ability to quickly interpret information and communicate it effectively.
