Black History Month Reflections: Kevin Ohuoba

“Our wings still fly represents how millions of people have overcome adversity in the past. Now, it shows how we use the same knowledge … to overcome new challenges that we face today,” said Kevin Ohuoba, MAC 2020.

As a student who completed his bachelor’s in accounting and now in the Master of Accounting Program at Poole College, Kevin said, “One of the biggest things that I noticed is our culture of collaboration, that people are more inclined to talk to new people and to work together.”

He also has a message for future Poole College students: “Be comfortable with being uncomfortable; be able to put yourself in positions of growth, be confident in yourself. You may not believe that you are able to do certain things, but have that good self confidence that you will be able to do it in the future, and definitely enjoy the college experience.”
