Prof. Rob Handfield Speaks to N&O: Local Impact of Tariffs

In President Trump’s trade war with China, one of the battlegrounds is North Carolina. In response to U.S. tariffs, China has imposed tariffs on products that are key to North Carolina’s farm economy — soybeans, pork and poultry.

NC State Poole College of Management’s Rob Handfield, Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management, discussed the potential long-term impacts of the tariffs with the The News & Observer.
