Jenkins MBA Ranks No. 1 in Diversity in Bloomberg Businessweek’s Top B-Schools Ranking
Bloomberg Businessweek announced this week that the NC State Jenkins full-time MBA program has been ranked No. 44 in its Best Business Schools MBA rankings, making it the ninth year NC State has participated in the ranking. The Jenkins MBA program jumped from its previous ranking of No. 47.
The survey is designed around the metrics of four indexes:
- Compensation
- Networking
- Learning
- Entrepreneurship
- Diversity
The program scored as No. 1 in the inaugural B-School Diversity Index, which ranked business schools based on their success in attracting female students and those from minority ethnic groups. Full-time student Jaden Powell spoke with Bloomberg about being the first to occupy a spot aimed at students from underrepresented groups.
The associate dean for academic programs at Poole College of Management, Vikas Anand stateed, “The rankings reflect the hard work of Faculty, Staff, and students. Our curriculum strongly prepares our students for the new analytics-oriented world and is STEM designated. I am especially proud of our #1 ranking with respect to diversity. The diversity of the cohort in the Full Time Program leads to a wider variety of perspectives in classroom discussions that leads to superior outcomes.”
NC State is currently accepting applications for the Jenkins MBA programs starting in spring 2022. For more information, visit http://www.mba.ncsu.edu. The NC State Jenkins MBA is available in three formats: full-time, professional evening and professional online.
