Celebrating Our Poole Pack for Employee Appreciation Week
Aligned with the state with NC State’s Employee Appreciation Week, Poole College will host events and activities for faculty and staff from May 7-13. The week long celebration will help us focus on taking care of ourselves and building community with each other. Mark your calendars!
Mindful Monday: Join a 30-minute virtual meditation, led by our own Richard Warr, from the comfort of your workspace at 3:30. Coffee and tea will be available in PCJ periodically throughout the day for community “brain breaks.”
Thankful Tuesday: Stop by PCJ to participate in our caring wall, leaving a note about something (or someone) you’re grateful for, or simply share a positive message. Send Paws and Say Thanks cards to colleagues, and check out the university’s Recognition Toolbox to learn about other appreciation activities, strategies and practices.
Wolfpack Wednesday: Show your Poole Pack pride by wearing your Poole College or NC State gear today. Head to the East Courtyard from 1:30-3:30 p.m. for a scoop of Howling Cow ice cream.
Team-Building Thursday: Drop in to PCJ with your coworkers for board games and fun from 1-4 p.m. Fresh popcorn will be served. Or join Tedd Szeto for virtual Jackbox from 1-3 p.m. — spectators welcome too!
Fun-Day Friday: Join your Poole Pack community from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. for lunch and a movie in Nelson Hall 2110. RSVP for lunch and cast your vote for the movie selection. Finally, we encourage you to leave at 2 p.m. to start your weekend.
