Business administration major Jackie Haynes and MBA student Isabella Riley will deliver remarks to their fellow graduates at the Dec. 15 ceremony.

NC State graduates at commencement

The Poole College of Management will hold its commencement ceremony for summer and fall 2023 graduates on Friday, Dec. 15, at 7:30 p.m. at Reynolds Coliseum. During the event, two students — Jackie Haynes and Isabella Riley — will deliver remarks to their fellow graduates. Read on to learn more about our student speakers.

Jackie Haynes
B.S. in Business Administration

Jackie Haynes is a business administration major with a finance concentration and a minor in Spanish. During her time at NC State, she has been actively involved in Young Life, volunteering through the organization at a local high school as a mentor for female students. She also volunteers at Neighbor to Neighbor, a downtown community center, and tutors a 4th-grade student each week.

Haynes has also participated in internships with the nonprofit Augustine Literacy Project, and with Bank of America in their Strategy and Business Ventures Department. Her most memorable experience in Poole College was studying abroad in Reims, France, through the Corporate Finance Maymester Program.

“This was an incredible opportunity to study and experience culture in a completely new context with classmates I didn’t know before the trip,” she says.

After graduation, Haynes plans to return to Charlotte to work for Bank of America.

Isabella Riley
Master of Business Administration

As a Jenkins MBA student, Isabella pursued a double concentration in marketing and innovation. She was a member of the Master of Business Administration Student Association and says her most memorable experience in Poole College was playing improv with her cohort during orientation.

During summer 2023, Isabella interned with Kellogg’s in Chicago, Illinois. She served as a brand marketing intern on the company’s Pop-Tarts team, working on licensing strategies for Gen Z, prioritizing brand growth and expansion for companies such as Jeni’s Ice Cream, Crocs and Too Faced makeup.

After graduation, Isabella will move to Chicago, Illinois, to begin her career as an associate brand manager at Kellogg’s.
