Poole College Teaching Excellence Award

The Poole College Teaching Excellence Awards are given annually to recognize faculty who have made the most outstanding contributions to the undergraduate and graduate teaching programs of the Poole College of Management.

Poole College Research Leadership Award

This award recognizes evidence of research excellence over the last two full calendar years. Excellence is demonstrated through the number of publications, high-quality publication outlets, serving as editor of a journal or on an editorial board, and/or recognition of research by external bodies (awards or citations).

Poole College Research Impact Award

This award recognizes evidence of research impact over the last two full calendar years. Impact can be demonstrated by external funding awards, media hits, influence on policymakers, regulators, and businesses. Impactful research can include elite publications, but for the purposes of this award, the faculty member must demonstrate impact beyond contributions that are purely to their academic field.

Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and Advising

This award is presented to the faculty member who demonstrates excellence in the advising of one or more student organizations or groups of students.

Poole Student Advisory Board (PSAB) Outstanding Faculty Award

This award recognizes a faculty member who has taught at Poole College for at least two semesters and demonstrates exceptional dedication to student success. Honorees go above and beyond by engaging students through guest speakers, event promotion, mentorship, and resource connections. They maintain strong communication with students.

Poole Graduate Student Advisory Board (GSAB) Faculty Member of the Year

This award recognizes a faculty member who has made an exceptional impact on graduate students through teaching, mentorship, and support of academic success. Honorees demonstrate a strong commitment to graduate education, innovative instruction, and meaningful engagement that elevates the student experience within graduate programs.
