A self-described nature-loving mountain man with a fascination for economics and self-improvement, North Carolina native Matt Thomson didn’t have to give much thought to where he would pursue his master of accounting degree.
As many other companies have in the past, the American Red Cross reached out to the Poole College of Management’s Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC) to see if its faculty and students could assist with a current business challenge.
This semester, nine Poole students participated in an internal auditing practicum project with the NCPRO, conducting audits of Coronavirus Relief Fund recipients and allowing the NCPRO to expand its reach.
