The Purpose Driven Business Speakers Series is hosted by VF Corp. and the NC State Poole College of Management Business Sustainability Collaborative. The series is designed to provide a forum for NC State students and other community members to learn from business leaders and changemakers about how they are transforming the way that business operates to benefit people, the planet and the bottom line. Our next speaker in the series will be Roian Atwood, Director of Sustainability for Wrangler and Lee jeans with a talk on “Wrangler’s Journey into Science and Conservation.”
About Roian Atwood
Roian Atwood is the Director of Sustainability for Wrangler and Lee jeans. Atwood leads brand sustainability strategy, engages suppliers globally to drive greater social and environmental performance, and works cross functionally with product development and marketing to create more sustainable products and share brand relevant stories. With fifteen years’ experience in footwear & apparel sustainability, Roian has a track record of managing a diverse set of projects and leading teams into an action-oriented, results driven approach to corporate sustainability. Atwood’s undergraduate work was in Complex Systems at Naropa University, and he holds a Master’s of Environmental Management from the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University
Parking & Directions
If you are driving, parking is available in the Dan Allen parking deck, approximately one block from Witherspoon Student Center. You must turn onto Dan Allen Street from Hillsborough Street. You can park in the main Dan Allen deck with a C permit, DD permit, or electronic permit. If you don’t have a permit, follow signs for the Dan Allen “Pay Lot” (credit card required). From the parking deck, take a right on Dan Allen Street. David Clark Labs will be directly across Dan Allen from the deck.
