Guest Faculty Speaker: Crowdsourcing and Innovation using Textual Analysis

Poole College’s Department of Business Management is hosting Sam Ransbotham, associate professor of information technology and analytics at Boston College, on September 28 and 29. He is a guest editor at the MIT Sloan Management Review and writes on the topics of analytics and innovation.
Dr. Ransbotham’s talk on Friday, September 29, in the Nelson Hall boardroom, will cover his recent research into crowdsourcing and innovation using textual analysis and a more general discussion of analytics and artificial intelligence based on his MIT SMR industry research. Richard Warr, head of the Department of Business Management, has opportunities for those interested to meet with Sam (including breakfasts, lunch and dinner), starting on Thursday afternoon and running through Friday.
