Poole College Alumni Appointed As The New Panama Canal Administrator

Ricaurte Vasquez, a graduate of the Poole College of Management’s Masters of Economics program, was recently appointed as the administrator of the Panama Canal. Vasquez will be the fourth Panamanian Administrator to be appointed by the canal’s Board of Directors and will begin his term in September 2019. “After months of undergoing this strategic planning process, the Board of Directors determined that Mr. Vasquez has the expertise needed to lead the waterway through its next era of growth,” said Roberto Roy, Chairman of Board of Directors and Minister for Canal Affairs.
