Jane Mehringer Brings Her Corporate and Coaching Experience to Poole College

Jane Mehringer joins the Poole College of Management as the associate director of the Poole College Career Center working with the Jenkins graduate programs. Prior to becoming associate director, Mehringer served as a career coach and professional development course instructor for Poole College. 

Mehringer began her professional career working with talent in multiple industries including working as an International Radio and Television Society fellow in New York City and roles in television production most notably for “Saturday Night Live” and Sony Pictures. Since then, she expanded her corporate and coaching experience through working with an executive search firm before building the global campus recruiting function and program management areas at Credit Suisse and MetLife. There, Mehringer identified critical development areas and successively created pertinent human capital initiatives, including mentor and training programs for all experience levels.

Mehringer’s higher education career began with her role at Elon University where she served as the associate director of career services within the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. She was responsible for advising over 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students at Elon University. 

As associate director of the Poole College Career Center, Mehringer will be responsible for providing coaching, tools, and support to first-year MBA students. She will also be teaching MBA 610, the managerial and career effectiveness course. 

Mehringer hails from Kansas City, Missouri and received her bachelor of science in mass communication from Stephens College in 2000. Outside of her work in Poole College, she loves going to Emerald Isle to play in the ocean with her two boys and husband of 15 years. She enjoys watching Baylor University’s men’s college basketball and Kansas City Chiefs football games, watching her sons play sports, and bait fishing.
