Work at Poole College

Do you currently serve on any of the university committees, peer groups, etc.?

I’m an advisor to the Professional MBA Delegates (PMBA), a student-based organization that supports student ideas and concerns, suggests program improvements, provides feedback to the MBA leadership, plans activities/events during the academic year, seeks ways to improve professional development opportunities for professional/online MBA students and serves as an advocate for prospective and incoming students by promoting and executing events together with the advising and admissions team.

What have you enjoyed most about your experience at Poole College?

The genuine and unconditional support of my colleagues and the fact that our team performs in a friendly and family atmosphere.

What do you see as the greatest strengths of Poole College?

The high quality of its academic programs and the people (faculty, staff, administrators) who teach and support the delivery of both undergraduate and graduate programs.

What advice would you give a staff member who has recently joined Poole College?

NC State’s Poole College of Management is a great place to work and develop professionally.  Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way, be it professionally and/or socially, you can benefit from them all.

Professional Accomplishments

What project that you completed at Poole you are most proud of?

I can’t think of one in particular, although I have to say that every Residency (4 times a year) for professional online students our department executes is a great team and personal achievement.

What do you believe is your most interesting accomplishment as a staff member?

The recognition, validation, and appreciation I receive from my students. Outside of the Poole MBA office, I was a part of the team that worked hard on putting together Caldwell College’s petition to Caldwell University in 2013.

Life Outside of Poole

When you are not at Poole College, what do you enjoy doing for fun?

I love dancing as a form of exercise (Zumba, Jazz, etc.) and Yoga for relaxation.  I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially with my two grandchildren, Marcus (8) and Sofia (6). My husband and I also just welcome a new Goldendoodle puppy to our house, his name is Cooper.  He is part of what’s occupying my time away from work.

What do you consider as your greatest accomplishment outside of work?

Having raised my lovely daughter, Claudia.
