NC State Poole College Names Interim Marketing and Communications Director

North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management has named Jenny R. Hammond interim director of marketing and communications, following the departure of Christine Ferrell to lead marketing for the Association of College and University Educators. The appointment was announced this week by Frank Buckless, Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of Poole College. Hammond joined Poole College in 2017 and most recently served as director of marketing for the Jenkins Graduate Management Programs.

“Jenny has been actively involved in growing the size, quality and reputation of our graduate programs portfolio over the past couple of years. In addition to her technical expertise, Jenny excels at building relationships and connecting to our many stakeholders,” said Buckless. “I know she will do an outstanding job leading the college’s marketing and communications team in the coming months.”

Hammond brings to the role a rich history of admissions, recruiting and marketing work across several universities, including Appalachian State University, University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Elon University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Hammond received her bachelor’s degree in communications and her master’s in higher education from Appalachian State University.
