NC State Poole College Names Interim Development and External Relations Leader

Peyton Stokley has been named interim executive director for development and external relations in the North Carolina State University Poole College of Management, following the departure of Anya Reid to serve as assistant vice president for advancement for Emory University. The appointment was announced this week by Frank Buckless, Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of Poole College. Stokley has served as director of development for Poole College since 2017.

“Peyton has made a meaningful contribution to NC State since joining Poole College a couple years ago,” said Buckless. “She brings to our external relations team deep experience in academic development and an enthusiasm for the think and do spirit here at NC State.”

Before joining NC State, Stokley spent five years in associate director and director roles at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Arts and Sciences Foundation. Prior to that, she held fundraising and student affairs positions at Vanderbilt University, Belmont University and the University of Alabama.

Stokley received her bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations from Florida State University and her master’s in higher education administration from Vanderbilt University.
