Work at Poole College

Why did you decide to join Poole College?

It was an exciting opportunity to lead the new LLC and the Business Collaboratories model.

What is the most common question you receive at work?

“What is Executive Education, and how do I get involved?” Executive Education is a non-degree program unit that supports Poole College and NC State as a whole. We want to leverage all NC State personnel who are interested in working with external organizations. Faculty can teach in our programs, offer their own programs which we will market and in some cases gain access to research data. Staff have found us valuable for either testing or learning about new tools and activities popular with adult learners. We LOVE to partner on creating new topics and learning development activities, so if you have a cool topic/experience, let us know!

What have you enjoyed most about your experience at Poole College?

The amazing scope of applied activities and engagements being led here at NC State.

What do you see as the greatest strengths of Poole College?

The commitment to analytics and innovation, the desire to collaborate across campus, and faculty and students who are comfortable working in applied projects.

What advice would you give a staff member who has recently joined Poole College?

Get involved. There are so many opportunities with quality groups, and always the need for energy and insights from our people.
