Michelle Grainger’s Journey to the Executive Farm Management Program
Agriculture has been ingrained in Michelle Grainger, director of the Center for Innovation Management Studies (CIMS), for most of her life. Her parents were both raised on family farms and her father started his own company providing a line of tobacco sucker control chemicals.
Grainger continued her education at NC State where she received the opportunity from the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to create a program to provide world-class business skills to family-owned farms. She is now the managing director of the Executive Farm Management Program.
