Triangle leaders, including Roger Mayer, professor of leadership at Poole College, met at the virtual North Carolina Technology Association’s Diversity + Inclusion Summit to discuss the benefits of companies embracing, not tokenizing, diversity initiatives.
The message at the summit was that businesses with diversity initiatives can see an increase in productivity, loyalty and revenue.
“I think it’s important to get people outside of their safety zones,” said Mayer during a summit breakout session. “We tend to get in a rut with our thinking and our actions.”
