Annie Murray Joins Poole College of Management as Associate Director of the Jenkins Graduate Career Center

Poole College of Management has recently announced Annie Murray as the associate director of the Jenkins Graduate Career Center and a career coach effective May 3. Murray replaces Jane Mehringer who previously served in this role.

Murray joins Poole College from Cornell University’s SC Johnson Graduate School of Management where she served in the MBA career services for six years. Prior, she worked at Purdue University for four years serving in student facing positions in MBA career services, academic advising and residential life.

In her new role as associate director, Murray will be coaching the full-time, residential Jenkins MBA students. This will include leading pre-orientation and orientation activities, delivering the MBA 610, Managerial and Career Effectiveness, course and continued involvement in the MBA CSEA Research and Trends Committee.

From the moment I met the CMC (Career Management Center) team I was immediately drawn to their passion for education and their commitment to our MBA students’ success.

Murray earned her bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Eastern Washington University and a Master in Higher Education from Geneva College in 2011.

“Joining the Poole College of Management was an easy decision,” said Murray. “While I truly loved my time at Cornell, I have always been drawn to the missional nature of land grant institutions, and I admire NC State’s deep commitment to accessible, affordable, quality education. From the moment I met the CMC (Career Management Center) team I was immediately drawn to their passion for education and their commitment to our MBA students’ success.”

In her free time, Murray enjoys biking, cross country skiing and exploring craft breweries.  She is an avid New York Times and NPR podcast listener, and lover of well-written fiction and animals.
