Poole College of Management recently welcomed Christina Ragone to the Office of Undergraduate Programs as an academic advisor effective Oct. 25.

Ragone comes to NC State from Rutgers University’s Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy where she served as a senior academic advisor. Previously, she was at East Carolina University’s College of Engineering and Technology for six years as an academic advisor.

She brings with her over eight years of advising experience with a proven track record that shows her commitment to a developmentally appropriate and student-centered approach to help students reach their personal and professional goals.

“We are so excited to have Christina join the advising team,” said Jennifer McLamb, assistant director of academic advising. “She brings with her over eight years of advising experience with a proven track record that shows her commitment to a developmentally appropriate and student-centered approach to help students reach their personal and professional goals.”

In her role as academic advisor, Ragone will be supporting undergraduate students by advising them on academic requirements, course selection and registration. She will also be teaching a section of M100, Personal and Professional Identity Development.

Ragone received her Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in counseling and educational development from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

I was excited about the opportunity to provide great student service to Poole’s undergraduate students.

“Poole College seemed like a great place to work and grow,” said Ragone. “The advising team seemed like a great group of people that I would enjoy working and spending time with. I was excited about the opportunity to provide great student service to Poole’s undergraduate students.”

Outside of work, Ragone likes spending time with family and friends exploring new areas with her husband and going to the beach or the mountains.
