Poole College of Management’s Instructional Design Group recently welcomed Chris Lehman as an instructional digital media specialist.
After college, Lehman began a career in freelance sports broadcasting, providing play-by-play and color commentary for a variety of teams and sports at the high school, college and professional level, including NC State. In 2019, he returned to the university as a video production specialist for Wolfbytes Video Services and PackTV, where he spent the last two years live streaming a wide range of events from club sports broadcasts to virtual lectures and university board meetings.
With Chris’s addition to IDG, we are able to roll out a new suite of services that will elevate our faculty’s course videos to the next level.
“We are so excited to welcome Chris to the Poole College of Management and the Instructional Design Group,” said Beth Shepherd, director of instructional design. “Chris worked with WolfBytes for two years and brings with him a wealth of video and institutional knowledge. With Chris’s addition to IDG, we are able to roll out a new suite of services that will elevate our faculty’s course videos to the next level.”
As the instructional digital media specialist, Lehman will be helping faculty to update and enhance their online course content in a variety of different capacities, from consultation and assessment of current video materials to full recording and editing services as part of a course redesign.
“The Poole College of Management already has an excellent reputation within the university and outside of it,” said Lehman. “I also have some great co-workers in the Instructional Design Group, and I am very excited about what we can do to help create an even better learning experience for our students!”

Lehman graduated from NC State in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in media as well as a minor in journalism.
Lehman is a sports fanatic and, outside of work, can often be found at Carolina Hurricanes hockey games and rooting for his alma mater at NC State sporting events.
