Save the date for the inaugural event in the new Poole College of Management Virtual Thought Leadership Series. The topic for this conversation is enterprise risk management (ERM) featuring Mark Beasley, director of the ERM Initiative and professor of accounting.
Frank Buckless, Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of Poole College of Management, will lead the discussion with Beasley, around risks that businesses are facing during the pandemic.
The event is free and open to our alumni, donors, industry partners, and the general public. However, registration is limited.

About the Speaker
Mark Beasley is the founding director of ERM Initiative housed in Poole College, a program working to provide thought leadership about ERM practices and their integration with strategy and corporate governance. Beasley helped pioneer this emergent discipline through outreach to business professionals, research and advancement of knowledge and understanding of ERM issues, and undergraduate and graduate business education for the next generation of business executives. He is a member of the NC State Academy of Outstanding Teachers and is the recipient of the American Accounting Association’s Competitive Manuscript Award, the AAA’s Distinguished Contribution to Accounting Literature Award, and the Auditing Section’s Notable Contributions to the Auditing Literature Award.
