Two Poole College Seniors Among Those Recognized for Outstanding Student Leadership

Two Poole College seniors, Hunter Davis and Tyrek Shepard, were among those receiving an NC State Alumni Association’s 2017 Matthews Medal in recognition of their outstanding work as student leaders. The award, administered by the Alumni Association Student Ambassador Program, recognizes seniors who have made significant contributions to the university. The medals were presented at a ceremony April 26 at the Park Alumni Center.

Poole College Diversity Director is Part of Campus BIRT Team

Tayah Butler, director of diversity and inclusion at the NC State Poole College of Management, is among those contributing to NC State’s recently launched campus-wide Bias Incident Response Team (BIRT). NC State began developing the team and bias incident reporting process in fall 2016, joining the ranks of universities across the country with similar programs. That was shortly after Butler joined the Poole College of Management.

66 Poole College Students Inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma

Sixty-six undergraduate and graduate students in the NC State Poole College of Management were inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma at a ceremony held in the Nelson Hall auditorium on Thursday, April 7. Each student received a blue and gold cord that will be worn over their graduation gown during their commencement ceremony.
