Dean Buckless on the Efforts Poole College is Making During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Many local schools including NC State, Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill are increasing their efforts to help the Triangle community during the COVID-19 crisis. The Poole College of Management’s Poole Business Guide is among the endeavors of local researchers and thought leaders to help business owners and employees during the stay at home order.

The Poole Business Guide serves as an online resource for students, community members and business owners to navigate this time of uncertainty with insightful articles and videos created by Poole faculty. Frank Buckless, Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of the Poole College of Management, describes the guide as useful for anyone on topics ranging from small business loans to issues with supply chains.

“We’re really trying to put out actionable suggestions on what should be done to deal with different types of issues,” said Buckless. “This is very rough on our small businesses and we are trying to be a resource and help them be resilient and be able to survive this.”
