Report Taps Rob Handfield for Green Vaccine Insight

In a new report, Economist Impact quotes Rob Handfield, Bank of America University Distinguished Professor of Supply Chain Management and director of the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative, on the role of multilateral organizations in sustainably sourcing vaccines.

“I think price is still the dominant factor for a lot of vaccines,” said Handfield, who was one of 23 experts consulted for the report. “Efficacy is probably second and sustainability is probably down the list if you use a weighting element in vaccine procurement.”
