From the Dean

At the Poole College of Management, we instill an entrepreneurial mindset in all our students, so that each of them will bring creative and innovative thinking to bear on business problems.

And we build analytical skills into every program, so graduates leave here ready to lead — whether in a two-person tech startup or a Fortune 500 boardroom. As we celebrate our 25th anniversary as a college, we continue to build on our foundation within a leading STEM university that excels at analytics and entrepreneurship.

From the beginning, we’ve teamed up with real-world industry to inform our research, to engage our students and to focus on relevant business challenges and trends. Our students tackle cutting-edge challenges, and our faculty are thought leaders with proven success in the private sector. We’re eager to partner with other academics, too. We’ve torn down disciplinary walls within NC State University and forged ties with other top business schools around the world.

Our innovative approaches and programs have drawn recognition from that global community and our industry partners. We’re already known as a place that pairs rigorous data-driven thinking with creative problem-solving. And we’re just getting started.

It is my privilege to help celebrate these first 25 years of the Poole College of Management. In these pages, you’ll get a glimpse of where we’re headed next.
