Morgan Holcomb Joins Poole to Elevate Jenkins MBA Marketing
Morgan Holcomb has recently joined the Poole College of Management as the assistant director of marketing for the Jenkins MBA Program.
Holcomb began her marketing career in 2015 when she served as a public communications specialist for the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State where she developed their social media strategies and presence. She then moved on to the NC State Alumni Association as the online communications coordinator for the past three years. There, she created graphics, assisted with brand management and social media strategy, developed the NC State Alumni Association app and produced the Hear the Howl Podcast.
As the assistant director of marketing, Holcomb will be collaborating with the Jenkins MBA team and the Marketing and Communications team to produce and curate content across platforms, manage the MBA website and develop social media strategies.
Holcomb is an NC State alumna with a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in media and a minor in business administration she earned in 2015. She is currently working to complete the Jenkins MBA Marketing Certificate program in spring 2020.
“I wanted to join Poole College because they are an industry innovator and are constantly practicing the think and do mantra,” said Holcomb. “I knew from taking classes in undergrad and for the marketing certificate that this was a place that I felt like I could immediately take what I had been learning in class and apply it to my day-to-day job. Poole College has always been a unit on campus that has separated itself from the Pack and looks ahead to the future.”
Outside of work, Holcomb enjoys traveling and most recently returned from a trip to New York City with friends to see the city decorated for the holiday season. She also likes working out, shopping in Cameron Village and attending NC State football and basketball games.
“We are excited to have Morgan join Poole College,” said Jenny Hammond, interim director of marketing and communications. “Morgan brings to the role a strong understanding of the NC State brand having recently worked on the alumni team and being a 2015 graduate. She is creative, curious and very dedicated to her work and will no doubt add a unique perspective to the MBA and Marketing/Communication teams.”
