Trump hasn’t taken office yet, but he’s already making sweeping economic plans. Leaders in North Carolina’s agriculture community are concerned about retaliatory actions impacting farmers.
During his previous term, Trump imposed tariffs on Chinese goods, but his new proposal is “much larger and more widespread,” said Andrew Greenland, Poole professor of economics. He also called the plan a “dangerous prospect.”
