Roby Sawyers, professor of accounting, explains that consumers will see delays during tax season due to IRS budget cuts, bigger workloads and stimulus payments.
“It means that you may see some delays in processing returns, answering phone calls, getting answers to your questions and getting refunds if you don’t file electronically or have a direct deposit,” said Sawyers.
