In a study conducted by the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC) at NC State and GEP, research shows that there are disruptions in the supply chain caused by misalignment between procurement and supply chain operations. Alex Zhong, director of supply chain solutions at GEP, concludes that collaboration is most important.
“By collaborating, we eliminate misalignment and disconnects, acting in the same direction and rhythm, so systematically we have the lowest cost,” said Zhong.
