Class & Major: Senior in Business Administration – Supply Chain Program: Summer- Seville: Human Resource and Operations in Spain Challenges and learning moments from abroad: “During the beginning of my 6 week program, I found it challenging to adjust to the Spanish time zone and work/life daily schedule. Taking afternoon naps and eating dinner at ten or eleven at night was tough physically and mentally, as it was very different from the daily schedule I had used all my life! After the first week or two, my mind and body had adjusted to the routine and I was able to thrive. I learned to be patient with myself and be open minded to trying new things!”
Emma Nugent (Membership Coordinator)
Class & Major: Senior in Business Administration – Marketing, International Studies (East and Southeast Asia), and minor in Chinese Studies Program: Academic Year – National Taiwan University Memories from abroad: “I was able to participate in a program where I had the opportunity to have cultural exchange with local elementary students! I was able to travel to different schools and have weekly Skype sessions and connect despite the language barrier, and also learn so many new things!”
Babina Bhojman (Logistics Coordinator/Treasurer)
Class & Major: Junior in Business Administration – Finance Program: Summer- South Korea: IT & Operations in Seoul Reasons for studying abroad: “Studying abroad is a great outlet to make friends with those from your school as well as native people! It provides valuable knowledge through experiences that can’t be replicated outside of the experience. I loved that it offered a lot of traveling opportunities as well as networking. The opportunity I joined especially provided a lot of insight into the fields of IT and Supply chain Operations which was a major part of my choosing to study abroad. Living outside of your own culture is a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone that will listen.”
Celyn Molinaro
Class & Major: Junior in Business Administration – IT Program: Fall- Prague Connect Advice about studying abroad: “A main point of advice I’d offer to future study abroad participants would be to get out of your comfort zone. Studying abroad is an extremely unique experience, and being able to be comfortable with trying new things, meeting new people, and indulge yourself in a new culture can provide really valuable skills you can use as a student, but also as a person overall.”
Erin Bernecker
Class & Major: Sophomore in Business Administration – Finance Program: International Business Dual Degree – Spanish track Reasons for studying abroad: “I have always wanted to study abroad at some point in my college career. I originally wanted to do all four years in Italy and my mom vetoed the idea. Then I stumbled upon the IBDD program and realized it was perfect for me. The ability to study at two universities on two different continents is exciting.“
Erica Rice
Class & Major: Sophomore in Business Administration – Marketing Program: Summer- Argentina: Marketing Methods in Buenos Aires Professional benefits of studying abroad: “We visited and heard from about 3 companies on my study abroad trip. My favorite was Inti-Tea, I’m not a tea drinker but the CEO put a lot of thought process, creativity and innovation into making those herbal drinks. It made me realize that business is not just about “what sells”, but what brings “you and others joy”!”

Class & Major: Junior in Business Administration – Entrepreneurship Program: Prague Connect; Semester- Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, Spain Advice for studying abroad: “Plan ahead! Sometimes we think we will just “figure things out when we get there” but once you arrive, everything comes at you at once from living in the new culture, wanting to travel, meet people, etc. You want to make sure you have time for all of the things you want to do, but also time to take care of yourself and your own needs.”
Emily Ramanata

Pratina Kandru
Class & Major: Junior in Business Administration – Marketing Program: Fall 2023 Semester – University of Seoul, South Korea Memories from abroad: “I had the opportunity to work as a Global Lounge Tutor during the semester I was abroad. Each week I would hold a Topic Discussion class to encourage my native Korean peers to practice their English. I subsequently became really close with my students so during the last session, they surprised me with a cake and farewell present. They told me that they felt more confident in their English speaking skills due to my class. Knowing that I left such a big impact on them is a memory that I will cherish for the rest of my life.”

Class & Major: Senior in Business Administration – Supply Chain & Operations Program: Summer 2022- Seville: Human Resource and Operations in Spain; Spring 2023 Semester – Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen, Denmark Challenges and learning moments: “I think the resident documentation requirements when you study for a semester abroad. I thought that was a bit hard since I didn’t know how government systems worked in Denmark. I overcame this by asking help with the local friends I had made there.”
