Robert Sandruck profile photograph

Mr. Robert Sandruck, Director

Mr. Sandruck joined the Poole College of Management at NC State University in December 2010 as the first full-time Director of Global Programs. In this role, Rob has created a portfolio of international programs allowing students to pursue management education within a global context. In this role, he works with students to help them develop a broader worldview and an understanding of how this impacts their careers. Prior to joining the Poole College of Management, Rob worked at Duke University where he served as the Director of the Executive MBA Programs. Rob has worked at a variety of colleges and universities in student service, academic affairs, and international education. He has a Master of Education from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Economics from Towson University. He is married to Dr. Audrey Jaeger, a professor at NC State. He is also a proud father of two girls who both study French and share his passion for cooking and traveling the world.

Ms. Katelyn Brown-Gomez, Assistant Director

Katelyn Brown-Gomez joined the Global Programs team in the Poole College of Management in April 2023. She specializes in producing high-impact, faculty-led study abroad programs and works closely with partner universities around the globe to support both incoming exchange students and outgoing Wolfpack travelers.

Katelyn brings a strong foundation in student development and counseling to her work, holding a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Prior to joining Poole, she spent six years with the UNC Study Abroad Office before officially joining Wolfpack at NC State in 2022.

Outside of the office, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, experimenting with watercolor painting, exploring local hiking trails, and camping back home in the Mountains.

Ms. Tyla McAffity, Program Coordinator (GA)

Tyla McAffity joined the Global Programs team in the Poole College of Management in August 2026. Tyla was born and raised in Raleigh and graduated from Howard University magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. While at Howard, Tyla was a member of the Karsh STEM Scholars Program (Cohort 5). Following graduation, she returned to work with the program over the summer, where one of the highlights was a two-week study abroad experience in Ghana that ultimately inspired her to pursue a career in Higher Education. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Higher Education Administration and in her free time she enjoys walking, playing and coaching golf, and spending time with her friends and family.

Jocelyn Cardona Headshot

Ms. Jocelyn Cardona, Program Coordinator (GA)

Jocelyn Cardona is a native of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and proudly represents her Mexican and Colombian heritage. 

She is a first-generation college graduate from Appalachian State University. She studied Global Studies and Spanish Literature, along with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language. She was heavily involved on campus through her sorority and student organizations: Chi Omega, Appalachian Student Ambassadors and International Appalachian (INTAPP). 

Jocelyn is now pursuing her masters in Higher Education Administration here at NCSU. She currently serves as a Chapter Resident Director. 

Mrs. Lexie Higgins, Program Coordinator (GA)

Lexie Higgins joined the Global Programs team in the Poole College of Management in August 2025. Lexie graduated from Appalachian State University with a B.S. in Spanish Education and minors in Teaching ESL and Mathematics. Inspired by her study abroad experience, Lexie applied for and received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to teach in northern Spain. Upon returning to the U.S., Lexie got married and taught ESL for three years in Wake County Public School System. Lexie is currently in the Master of International Studies program to expand on her interests in the field of international education and international program administration. In her free time, Lexie enjoys hiking, walking, kayaking, running, football games, and travel.

Ms. Promise Oduh, MBA Graduate Assistant

Promise Oduh, originally from Nigeria, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration from Delta State University. Following graduation, she worked as a
Collateral Manager at Fidelity Bank, where she managed the accurate recording and
upkeep of pledged collaterals on the bank’s portal, while also handling asset revaluations and insurance renewals to safeguard the bank’s interests. Currently, she is pursuing an MBA in Finance at NC State University. In her free time, she loves to cook, attend music concerts, and cherishes moments with her loved ones, especially her twin sister.
