Poole College Celebrates Faculty and Staff Accomplishments from January and February

The monthly accomplishments series celebrates the achievements of our faculty and staff in and outside of the Poole College of Management.

January

  • Michael Stanko, associate professor of marketing, won the Outstanding Reviewer Award for 2020-21 for the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM).
  • Effective Jan. 1, Jonathan Bohlmann, professor of marketing and innovation, is now an associate editor for the Journal of Product Innovation Management.
  • Bill Rand, associate professor of marketing, is one of 23 faculty members named in the 2021-22 class of NC State University Faculty Scholars
  • Maria Potepalova, associate director of integrated communications, presented at the annual Strategic Internal Communications conference organized by the Advanced Learning Institute on Jan. 26.

February

  • Marianne Bradford, professor of accounting, was appointed to the graduate faculty in integrated manufacturing systems engineering. Additionally, she was asked to serve on the Editorial Board of Issues for the Accounting Education Journal.
  • Rob Handfield, professor of operations and supply chain management, presented at the Institute for Public Procurement Headliner Series on Feb. 16, the Conference Board Procurement Executive Council on Feb. 22 and the S&P Global Market Intelligence Webcast on Feb. 24.
  • Heidi Echols, instructional designer, presented at the NC State Office of Faculty Excellence teaching and learning symposium with CHASS faculty member, Mary Estrada on Feb. 25. The workshop was titled “The Courage to Unclench: Thriving in Any Classroom.”
  • The Office of Undergraduate advising team consisting of Alissa Dodds, Christina Ragone, Kayla Bowley, Stephanie Reiley and Jennifer McLamb presented at the National Academic Advising Association from Feb. 21-23 in Knoxville. Dodds and McLamb presented at a concurrent session titled “CliftonStrengths – Maximizing your potential with your full 34 Report!”.
