Poole professor Carly Burd’s research was featured in The Economist, offering insights into the potential economic implications of President Trump’s proposed tariffs.
According to research by Burd, American companies that were exposed to tariffs levied on Chinese imports by President Trump during his first term saw their operating profit as a share of assets shrink by 5.4 percentage points, compared with those that were not.
