Rob Handfield, professor of operations and supply chain management, warns potential home buyers against purchasing during the initial decrease in lumber costs at it is still at peak price.
“I would advise people, if you’re building, hold off,” said Handfield. “Don’t do it just yet. You’re going to pay peak prices if you do it today.”
