Rob Handfield Discusses Companies with the Most Effective Supply Chain Practices

Rob Handfield, professor of operations and supply chain management, and the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC) created a 1-5 ranking model to determine the supply chain intelligence of companies. Companies that rated a 4 or 5 in supply chain management practices included Ford Motor Co., Exxon Mobil Corp., Procter & Gamble Co., Alphabet Inc., Amazon.com Inc., Microsoft Corp., Apple Inc. and AT&T Inc.

“You’d be surprised,” said Handfield. “A lot of companies are more ad hoc about this stuff than you’d think.”
