Matt Parson is the Chief Financial Officer at CloudBees Matt came to CloudBees from Red Hat, where he was treasurer and an integral part of the finance team.

During his 12+ years there, Red Hat’s revenue grew from $200 million to almost $3 billion, and it became the largest open source enterprise IT company in the world. During this time, he helped manage the company’s tremendous growth from 800 employees to nearly 11,500. Earlier in his Red Hat tenure, Matt held the position of EMEA finance director, later becoming international controller. In the latter role, he established new entities and managed finance teams across Europe, Asia and South America. Matt started his career in public accounting, spending six years with three of the Big 4: Arthur Andersen, Ernst & Young and KPMG. During this time, he worked with large public companies and smaller private companies, in industries ranging from technology to healthcare to financial services.

Parson is a graduate of North Carolina State University where he received both a B.S. and Masters in Accounting. He serves on the Accounting Program Advisory Council for the Poole College of Management at NCSU, the Board of the Regional Transportation Alliance, as well as on the Organizing Committee of the Victory Ride for the V Foundation for Cancer Research. He is also a CPA licensed in North Carolina.

Matt and his spouse, Michelle, reside in Raleigh, NC. When not working he can usually be found on the golf course or trying to keep up with his four German Shorthaired Pointers.
