April 11, 2018 | 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Join us for this presentation of Poole College’s Executive Leadership Series, when we will be hosting Steve Crouse, executive vice president and CFO of Paragon Bank and an NC State Poole College alumnus (’86), and learn about his career path in luxury banking.
About Steve
Steve is a Winston-Salem native who graduated in 1986 with two bachelor’s degrees from NC State – in accounting and business management.
A certified public accountant in North Carolina since 1990, Steve worked with the public accounting firm, McGladrey & Pullen for eight years, in both the audit and tax divisions, and rose to the position of manager, focused primarily on financial institutions clients.
In 1998, Steve became the controller at Capital Bank, which at the time was a $90 million startup. He assisted the bank in forming its holding company and with its SEC registration, as well as taking it through four acquisitions while being responsible for all public reporting.
He was Capital Bank’s interim chief financial officer for nine months before joining Paragon Bank in early 2005 to start the finance department, where he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer and led the bank through a 2016 initial public offering and a recent merger with Virginia-based TowneBank.
Recognized twice as Triangle CFO of the Year by the Triangle Business Journal, he will share his rich experiences navigating mergers and acquisitions in the world private banking and wealth management.
